EDIT: 6/10/2012: Digitally enhanced the black areas and altered the hue of his fur and quills to be a darker red.

EDIT: 7/6/2020: Made some long-overdue fixes to the position of his knuckle-claws and left eye boundary, as well as enhanced highlights.

UPDATE: 5/30/2011

-Today I finalized the position of Mace's knuckle-claws; I did my best to make his expression more realistic and true to the general style. I think I did pretty well if I do say so myself. I at least deserve that notion after all the work i've put into this darned picture. I hope you like it, because I was starting to get a little frustrated that I wasn't done with it by now. Pondering on how to pose small things like that just right is torture, so I'm glad that's over ^^ Being a self-taught artist is hard sometimes. No joke there.

A work in progress of my colored version of Mace's newest design (number 4.0 to be exact) demonstrating some of his Chaos power.
Being the brother of an (Anti) Mobian Guardian sure has it's perks.

I almost had this finished two days ago,but I ran into a problem.
I'm still not pleased with how I initially drew his knuckle claws (i've redone them a dozen times already)
so i've decided to wait until I get the position right before I made it unalterable by an ink finish.
For the first time in years i'm truly stumped and I could honestly use some help with this.
I really wish I could get this done, so I can start preparing to host my group's first contest.
By the way, in case you didn't know, the grey part behind his dreads is actually
supposed to be a strand of his black hair coming off the back of his head.
I'm working on trying to find a way to color it without making it look like a black blob.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy it despite what it's lacking
(and I hope his quills didn't turn out looking purple).
