EDIT (2013): PLEASE NOTE: the image for this profile is outdated, and I haven't had the proper time (being a full-time college student) to update it again for a while. This design was version 3.5 and my Mace Direwolf 5.0 Colab with Ila Mae is a work in progress but Version 4.0 is complete: If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get!

My Sonic fan-characters live in a fandom expansion of Archie's Sonic the Hedgehog comic series.
Mace is the half-brother of Anti-Knuckles from Anti-Mobius (or the evil parallel dimension version of Mobius, which is Canon btw) not Knuckles himself! This is an old drawing and has not been updated!

Finished at last! I managed to squeeze some work in on it when I felt well enough and now it finally done
lol, now I'm thinking of changing his fur color to a burnt Orange color, to make him look less like his brother, but I dunno, it's fine for now I guess.

He uses them to achieve lift-off by tapping into the Chaos Force and channeling his Ki (metaphysical energy manipulated by willpower) through the small nozzles in the soles of his boots, creating jets of flame. They also have special rubber-alloy soles, to help him better combat enemies using his most common weakness. To top it off, he uses hidden compartments he's dubbed "Chaos stores" in the back of his soles to store naturally formed Chaos crystals (or shards) that are required to use his powers.

Mace acts as the head honcho, main field leader (and agent) of the Prowler Gang. A group he contructed from a handful of friends, orphans, outcast and misfits, that operates together as a functional gang of mercenaries, bounty hunters and more. However under-handed their work of choice might seem, they are actually a respectable group of secret Freedom Fighters, who fight for justice, as opposed to the highest bidder.

Team Name: The Prowler Gang

A mostly independent and highly covert mercenary gang and Freedom Fighter Group, led and founded by none other then Dead-Eye Mace himself. With their main outpost located near the southern edge of the Great Desert, they act as generous patrons and protectors of the people.

His gang sometimes takes up jobs to act as secret bodyguards of (reasonable) politicians or charitable nobles.

When off-duty, or when the opportunity presents itself, they'll also act as protectors of empoverished villages, fending off robbers, raiders, as well as the forces of Robotnik himself, all free of charge. Being supporters of justice, they're willing to risk their own secrecy to rob from the rich and give to the needy, especially food and supplies.

Personality Traits:
Mace is aggressive and hot-headed, though he tries not to show it much. Probably because, being relatively thick-skinned, he maintains a high tolerance--or so he'd like you to believe; beneath that facade, he's actually quite sensitive. He also tends to be pretty hot-blooded when his passions are involved, so don't be too surprised when he lays down the "ham" in such a situation.

Mace's is quite withdrawn and skeptical when in the presence of someone he dislikes or doesn't know well.
Unless you've earned his trust, it's almost impossible to make him a friend. Mace will only give his trust to those who earn it from him. His trust is hard-earned,
but once it is earned, he become much more open, with his loyalty steadfast and unwavering. (Unless they prove themselves otherwise).

Mace's morality is sound and he holds firm to his honor, believing it to be of the utmost importance. Mace is completely loyal to his beliefs, and follows his own rules and guidelines for behavior faithfully. Mace also has a strong sense of justice. If he sees someone unfairly matched, or being brutaly wounded, he'll most likely intervene.

A bit of a loner at times, Mace tends to be quiet and keeps himself reserved in public --as a safety precaution-- but he'll occasionally show his inner thoughts and personality, although mostly when he's alone with friends. He has a strong handle on his short temper, but you have to be careful when dealing with him, as all Hell will break loose if he reaches his boiling point.

■ If Mace gets angry enough, it could cloud his normally sound judgement as does the presence of anyone he hates. Mace's aggressive personality can also bring this about, but it seldom happens, and it doesn't last long, because for the most part he's quite level-headed.

■ He is hardly outright hating, even toward those who are obviously scum, except like most Echidnas, he is downright hostile towards his natural enemy; Dingoes. Mace's personal grudge against the Dingoes originates from a young age. When he was an infant he was separating his real family by a Dingo raid on his home. He assumes his family were also killed by those same Dingoes.

Underneath his rough exterior, he's a very caring, and an all-around nice guy. This is the most evident when he takes care of his adopted twin daughters, Jenna and Lianna; A pair of 4-year-old twin foxes he adopted when he found them ragged and starving to death in a Mobian jungle. From choosing to don the role of a father at and early age, he worries constantly his adopted daughters, so he's somewhat overprotective of them, and seldom lets them leave his gang's home base (Prowler HQ), even when under supervision.

Forms & States

Super Form: None. Mace's blood has been tainted too far by an evil presence in his body  to sustain one. However, he can enter a "hyper mode" at which his agility is greatly increased.

Dark Form: Achieved when his anger peaks while using his powers (However in this state he has much less control over his powers and may even lose track of friend or foe in this state, due to the demon-like entity, that curses him, known to him as "Essence the Dark").

In his Dark Super form Mace is called "True Malice". In this form, Mace's eyes turn a fiery orange, his pupils turn into snake-like slits, and his fur turn a pitch black. The tribal markings on his dreads glow silver, his clothing greys, and his fists are engulfed in Chaos Fire.

Enraged: If Malice's anger is pushed to the limit, but he doesn't have the energy to sustain his Dark Form, he may blindly attack anyone in range, friend or foe alike.</sub>
